Supplies of gasoline in South Ossetia terminated in connection with which there was a serious shortage of this type of fuel. On Tuesday reported the Interfax news agency.

According to the head of the republic Alan Dzhioeva depot, all the gas stations were forced to close, as stocks of gasoline, which is sold in South Ossetia and imported from Russia, have ended.

Dzhioyev also explained that gasoline prices will rise due to increased customs duties. "If earlier clearance of one ton of gasoline imported into the territory of the Republic, is 239 dollars, on May 1, clearance of tons of petrol will be 408 dollars", - he said.

It is assumed that on Wednesday petrol starts to flow into the territory of South Ossetia. Meanwhile, in Abkhazia no difficulty gasoline supplies have been encountered. Private companies continue to import petrol from Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey, said agency spokesman for the Abkhazian president Kristian Bzhania.
