Whining Ball told the Germans about the shooting of stray dogs in Ukraine
German Christian Baur invented advertiser whining soccer ball, to draw attention to the problem of the German destruction of stray animals in Ukraine before Euro 2012. It is reported by AdAge.
Baur lay a soccer ball in the streets of Hamburg. When people are passing along the street, saw the ball and kicked him, he uttered a sound, imitating the whining dog. After that, some raised the ball and saw it reporting shooting of stray dogs and cats in the Ukraine.
Handling the ball called on people to stop the mass destruction of animals and to support the German charity organization ETN eV for the protection of the environment and animals. The ball was also listed number that could transfer the money into the fund ETN.
Over the last year in the Ukraine were reported numerous cases of shooting of stray animals, and poison baiting them. According to Russian service "Bi-bi-si", human rights and charitable organizations attribute this to the initiative of the Ukrainian authorities to sweep the city before the European Football Championship in 2012.
In November 2011 French actress Brigitte Bardot, dealing with the protection of animal rights, wrote a letter to the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to stop the mass destruction of stray dogs. After that, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has demanded tighter control of catching the animals and prevent all cases of abuse. However, European animal welfare advocates, in particular, the organization PETA, doubted that these measures actually taken, and called for boycott of Euro 2012.
